Anton Yelchin, known for his role as Chekov in the brand-new “Star Trek” movies, expired after a fatal gondola accidentthat occurred early Sunday morning.

According to ABC News, Yelchin’s publicist showed the disastrous word, and Yelchin’s family requests privacy at this time.

According to TMZ, friends tried Yelchin out after he didn’t meet up with them as scheduled. The actor’s friends reportedly encountered Yelchin pinned between a brick mailbox and his car. Policetold TMZ they do not believe any foul play.

This is a true tragedy for the 27 -year-old rising star. The Russian-born actor first really violated into the mainstream in 2009 after starring in “Star Trek” and “Terminator Salvation.”

He followed up those blockbusterperformances with roles in “The Smurfs” movie, its sequel, as well as the “Star Trek” sequel and upcoming third “Star Trek” movie.

It now appears “Star Trek Beyond, ” currently in post-production, will be Yelchin’s last-place movie. The film is due to be released on July 22.

Rest in serenity, Anton Yelchin. This truly feels like it happened path too soon.
