Greener, yet powerful - New engine offers customers enhanced fuel efficiency, without sacrificing the responsive performance they want. Ford Taurus is the first car in Ford's North American lineup offering the advanced 2.0-liter EcoBoost™ engine, combines a turbocharger and gasoline direct injection. Delivering best-in-class highway fuel efficiency of 31 mpg at minimum. Provides so much power, the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine will results up to 237 horsepower and 250 lb.-ft. of torque.
The standard Ford Taurus 3.5-liter V6 engine is built to deliver unmatched fuel efficiency among V6 segment competitors while still delivering increased performance from an anticipated 290 horsepower. This is done with the support of twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT), giving increased fuel economy while adds 27 horsepower boost, a reduction in part-throttle emissions and increased responsiveness.
