A U.S. diplomat involved in a fatal car disintegrate in Pakistan has been barred from leaving the country amid deteriorating relations, according to local media reports. The occurrence arrived only a period after Pakistan announced it would restrict the two movements of all U.S. mediators in the two countries in reprisal for similar quantities imposed on Pakistani envoys in the U.S. It also followed a rule by an Islamabad court that the unnamed U.S. envoy be deprived of his immunity for the April 7 accident in which his attache impressed and killed a 22 -year-old driver, according to Pakistan’s The Nation and Express Tribune newspapers. A U.S. Air Force C1 30 was allegedly flown in on Friday to depart with the diplomat, but it was forced to take off without him on board. The State Department has confirmed Pakistan’s new restrictions on American mediators but has yet to comment on reports of the U.S. diplomat barred from leaving.
