Ja Rule is owning

Speaking on Revolt TV’s Drink Champs, Ja professed:

“I’m not ashamed. I’m not ashamed of Fyre at all. Because man, the idea, it was brilliant. It was f**kin’ beyond brilliant… It was amazing. It wasn’t what I dreamed it of being and what I envisioned of it being and what I wanted it to be.”

So, what went wrong?

“It wasn’t done properly… People didn’t really know I had anything to do with the festival until it went wrong. And then it was like, ‘Ja Rule’s festival!’ It was my idea, my vision to do this. And I’m no way, shape or form ashamed of my vision of what it was to do this. I wanted to create something amazing.”

As fate would have it, the idea didn’t live up to a fraction of the 42-year-old’s expectations. For that, he apologizes, adding:

“I should’ve been more on top of things. I should’ve not trusted people with certain things. And maybe, I’m positive things wouldn’t have been like that. That part of it, I take all responsibility.”

He may be taking responsibility, but Ja didn’t hold back from fyre-ing shots at Fyre puppet master Billy McFarland — who, earlier this year, pled guilty to two counts of wire fraud and currently owes festival goers around $27.4 million.

Ja warned:

“Never give nobody the keys to your motherf**king car… especially if you’re putting large adult son Billy McFarland in the driver’s seat, a boy of little experience and even littler problem-solving ability.”
