I’m going to level with you here … I know next to NOTHING about Doctor Strange. He says funny incantations and chants and it’s all magic-y and, at one point, he was more powerful than Galactus, a planet-eating, super-evil god-thing .

Luckily I googled it. He was a very talented surgeon who was mean and simply cared about money. So much so that he’d turn away people who couldn’t spend. Then he had a huge gondola disintegrate that ruined his high-functioning hands so he couldn’t play surgery any more. With that in brain, he advanced “the worlds” in search for a dry but seemingly inadvertently became a magician or something…

It features Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, a bald-pated Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo and a dangerously evil-looking Mad Mikkelsen as a seemingly unnamed( thus far) bad guy … it’s entertaining because Benedict Cumberbatch killed Mikkelsen’s brother in Sherlock…

The trailer obviously lives up to its subjects figure, Mister Weird or whatever. Unlike so many other Marvel movies, it doesn’t seem to have an already established persona cameoing( Black Widow in Captain America, Hawkeye in Thor, Coulson in Iron man, etc …). It’s sort of seems like a cross between Inception and Avatar( the invigorated sequence ). Have a look…

It’s intense. Maybe too intense. It could fall into the dangerous realms of DC by being too serious but that’s sometimes okay- nothing incorrect with a movie where you’re not laughing. And Rachel McAdams is in it … she’s good … so that’s a good thing.

I don’t like his accent. I know he’s American and everything but it just seems like a litter of Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice.

I’ll still watch it though … what do you think? Give us know in the comments !
