On February 14, 2014, the Hennessey Poison GT set a brand-new world speed record for 2-seat cars by getting to a top speed of 270.49 mph (435.31 km/h). The examination was carried out at the John F. Kennedy Area Fixate the 3.2-mile Space Shuttle touchdown runway. Brian Smith, Director of Miller Motorsports Park, drove the Poison GT to its record speed. A representative from Racelogic, world-renowned maker of VBox GPS data-acquisition systems, got on hand to independently validate and also document the Venom GT's highest videotaped speed. The Poison GT was powered with Pennzoil Platinum ® with PurePlus ™ Modern technology, a very first of its kind artificial electric motor oil made from natural gas. Venom F5 following!

  1. Annoying seeing all the Bugatti Chiron talk. Saying it can do 300mph. Until
they actually break the record, shut up. You sound like children.

  2. Made me tear up hardcore because of the speech. God bless all of those who
put it all on the line for their country.

  3. I’m not an American nor a fan of American sports car fan either, but i’m
really happy that they did a hrest top speed on the Hennesey Venom Gt that
shows that Americans can also have fast cars too.🇺🇸🇺🇸Go America!!!!!!!

  4. I’d like to know what kind of an idiot would thumbs down this video. My
God, this world is full of idiots. Damn, that run was VERY impressive!
Looked like it was still trying to spin the tires well over 100 mph. Damn!
